Vince McDowell began making knives as a hobby in 2009 after retiring from his career in the banking industry. Being a life long hunter and fisherman, Vince was frustrated with the available knives. So he decided to make a few quality hunting and fishing knives for his personal use. In the early days, he made friends with several master knife makers who helped him learn the knife business. Vince sets himself apart by specializing in making quality custom knives one at a time using high quality materials. Each knife is a one of a kind unique work of art.

Vince's knives can be used for hunting, fishing, camping, everyday carry, survival, and kitchen culinary. Knives are made using stainless steels: Carpenter CTS-XHP, CPM S30v, CPM S35v, CPM 154, 31 layer VG10, and AEB-L Vince also uses high carbon steels: Alabama Damascus, and specialized artistic Damascus by Doug Ponzio. All steels are heat treated to Rockwell hardness of 59.5 to 61.5 for toughness. You have to have a excellent piece of steel to make an great knife. All knives carry a lifetime warranty.

Handle materials include Micarta, stabilized exotic woods, exotic bone, stag, copper, 416 stainless steel, and mammoth tusk/tooth. Some knives have bolsters, mosaic pins and nickel silver guards.
