Top 5 Reasons to Attend

May 10, 2021, 17:06 PM
After a long year away that found most of us hunkered down, working from home and discovering all the house improvement projects that needed to happen, the Atlanta Home Show returns to the Cobb Galleria Centre for its spring edition May 21-23, 2021. The show comes back to the market amid a home improvement boom –home-related projects are up nearly 58% over last year, according to Houzz – and many consumers are eager to spend fresh stimulus monies on upgrades and renovations.

With so much to see and do, what’s the best way to plan your visit? Here are our top five must see, not-to-miss features at the show:

  1. Outdoor Bliss (Inside the Galleria). During the pandemic, consumers turned to their outdoor space as a place for additional living room, a “staycation” location and general oasis from the world. No matter what size your yard is, get ideas at Landscapers Lane, a Pinterest board of outdoor ideas come to life with 4,000-square-feet of garden guests can walk through and see, touch and smell plants, trees, outdoor kitchens, fire pits, water features and more, sponsored by Belgard.
  2. Shop, Compare and Save. When you’re investigating a home project or purchase, the amount of info is helpful – but often overwhelming. The show is a one-stop shop where you can talk to trusted local experts at the same time, in the same place to help find which one has the best inventory, schedule, fit and price for you. Past guests unanimously agree this is one of the most invaluable benefits of show attendance. Exhibitor Consultation at Atlanta Home Show
  3. Hero Day. As a small show of gratitude for everything – but especially going above and beyond during the past pandemic year – Friday, May 21 is designated as Hero Day.  All active duty military, veterans, EMTs, nurses, healthcare workers, firefighters, police, teachers and more receive complimentary admission to the show. Spread the word to the heroes (who are also HGTV junkies) you know! Hero Day is sponsored by Georgia Furniture Mart.
  4. Virtual Showroom. New to the show is an online Virtual Showroom, where you can preview the exhibitors who will on site, make your onsite game plan and get those questions ready ahead of time.

  5. A Treat for Trade Professionals. Friday, May 21 is Trade Professionals Day, sponsored by the Better Business Bureau.  Guests from the home building and renovating industries or members of affiliated associations will receive complimentary admission with valid ID (business cards, association membership cards and Employee ID).

Please note that seniors are celebrated every day of the show, with complimentary admission for those 65 and older. Guest wellness protocols will be in the place at the venue, from handwashing and hand sanitizer stations throughout the show floor. All show staff will be wearing masks, and masks are strongly encouraged (though not required) for all attendees and vendors. Social distancing is also encouraged, with onsite signage to remind guests. A complete guide to guest wellness as well as tickets and additional information can be found here
